So, I took a long break from the blog but I'm going to try and post little things here and there. So far, I'm loving being a mother. Now that she's in my life, I don't know what I'd do if I lost her. I can tell I'm going to be a paranoid mother. I don't want her going anywhere without me, I flinch every time someone gives her to someone else to hold, I worry when she makes odd noises (her little grunts and groans) at night, and I could go on and on. She is my everything and I know Chase feels the same way.... Sadly that means I've got competition. She already won the "Chase's First Kiss of 2011" competition. haha Oh well, it could be worse.
Well today, I have a chance to update the blog because Hadley is taking a nice nap in HER room :) In her swing, not in her crib, but baby steps... She's not a fan of sleeping when it's quiet so instead of leaving the TV on at night for her I'm making the house a quiet zone during naps until she starts to get use to sleeping like that. Before I would have the TV on, doing dishes, or even letting people come over and see her because I knew she'd stay asleep if she were tired. Well, she fights sleep at night and I'm fixing that now instead of in a month. I can't imagine going back to work and her sleeping like she has. At least when I go back to work, I'll have help at night but it would be nice if neither of us had to get up much. As of now, I'm letting Chase sleep since I don't have to wake up early but I sure do give him dirty looks at night when she's being difficult and he's dead asleep.
Well, so far I'm liking the quiet zone. It's nice not having the TV on constantly (never thought I'd say that). Day 1 has gone smoothly up to this point. I thought she'd scream and cry for me to pick her up since it's so quiet but she didn't but for a second. We'll see how night 1 and day 2 go though before I start to brag about how genius I am. haha But I think we're on the right track.
Well, stay tuned. Hadley is going to her first Memphis basketball game Saturday with Aunt Angie and myself. Then Sunday, I'm letting Uncle Jay and Aunt Angie babysit while Chase and I TRY to have a relaxing afternoon without her. We're going to see Harry Potter and have sushi then I'm sure we'll be rushing back to pick up Hadley.

Upcoming Event: Gender Reveal Party
Hey everyone! As most of you may know, we are having our Gender Reveal Party this Thursday at Milano's Pizza at Dexter/Germantown Rd. We'll be there eating at 6:30, but if you just want to drop by for the revealment, then that will be around 7:30. We will have cake (that will reveal the sex) and some cupcakes as well from Muddy's Bakery.
A lot of people have asked how this works since it's still fairly new. Well here's the break down, my appointment to find out the sex is at 8:15 on Thursday morning. My ultrasound tech will hand me and envelope with the sex in it and we will have a DVD with the ultrasound recorded on it (Which I'm so glad they can do that because I hated the thought that I wouldn't get to see my baby). Once I've left, my ultrasound tech will inform the bakery of the sex so they can get cracking on the cake (I have made sure they understand that I don't want to know what's inside and that I hope they tell all their employees that). After the appointment, I will head to work, which I probably won't get much accomplished besides thinking about opening the envelope... Then after work, I will go to More Than Words to have an employee open the envelope to find out which Pandora charm to wrap up, the boy charm or the girl charm. I will then head to pick up the cake and then head to Milano's. Then it's party time!! I am so ready for Thursday to get here!!! And we look forward to seeing you all!! For now, stay tuned :)

DreamLand
So, things are good but could be better. I'm having a hard time finding things to eat. I've been having weird gag reflexes and I'm sure most of it is mental (which I'm working on) but that and my stomach feeling bloated all the time is making it very difficult to want to eat. I'm doing ok for breakfast, good for lunch (thank you Subway), and not so good for dinner. Hopefully that will all change soon!
So, on to my reason for posting. As most mothers know, crazy dreams while you are pregnant are normal. Well, mine just started recently. My first one was about me having to move to the middle of no where with some third cousin's family who I've never met before. My distant cousin and I were trying to cover up a murder one of us had done. We were still in high school and apparently we had good cause to shoot the guy but I didn't dream of the actual shooting. I thought something was wrong with me (which still may be the case) but that's when Jamie reminded me that crazy dreams are common. So, every night since that night I've had detailed, long dreams.
Last nights was so far my weirdest dream (besides the fact that I might have murdered someone in another one). I was at my parents home, house sitting for the night. The weird thing was, there home was Chase and my home. In the dream, I only remember 2 differences from our real house and the dream house. 1. The kitchen had 2 windows on the wall were there aren't any 2. The pantry was facing the back yard. So very close to the real thing which was weird! I was watching Eclipse in the living room (Real Life: not possible yet, but would be awesome if I really could) and I heard a police siren go off. I called Chase and looked out the window to see a Memphis cop car (in Oakland) driving the cove searching for someone. Chase tells me he's on his way home and will call me later. Well, remember this wasn't our home so he wasn't coming to where I was. I didn't ask him to because I knew he'd tell me I was being a baby (Real Life: I hate being home alone at night).
I went to shut the blinds in the kitchen and noticed Morgan Freeman in a van in our backyard facing our kitchen. I told myself to stay calm, that he's doing nothing wrong or out of the ordinary, and don't let him know your scared beacuse you'll look racist(Real Life: I would have ran out the front door calling the cops because that's not normal for anyone!!).
Next thing I know, he was sitting at my kitchen table reading a newspaper. There were still blinds behind him that I wanted to cloes so that if there was a killer on the lose, he couldn't see inside that I was home alone (Real Life: Random person all the sudden in the house, blinds need to stay open and you need to run!). So I was still thinking he might not be the killer the cops are searching for. He wasn't really doing anything wrong so I didn't want him to think I was racist by running so I started talking to him and playing it cool.
He was creepy (Real Life: he doesn't rub me as creepy, seems like a nice guy) so I told him my husband was on him way home. He said great and I grabbed my phone to text Chase to come to my parents. I went to this pantry with my phone and got on facebook. It was just like real life facebook mobile. I searched for him and then wrote on his wall the following: "Hey I'm hanging out with a guy named Chase at my parents, you should come over and hang out too." Yes, the killers name was Chase. I guess my brain couldn't think of another name and I really wanted to put a name on there so if I went missing that they had good enough information to convict the guy?!? Or maybe I need to read a dream book and see what my killers name being means?? Maybe I should be cautious of Chase now. haha Also, I didn't put anything about the guy being creepy. I wanted to use that to my advantage if he did try to kill me.
After I wrote on his wall, I remember turning to look at the TV to watch a scene from Eclipse. Edward was holding Bella out of a plane and she was holding onto a coffin (Real Life: not a scene from any twilight book). He pulled her in like it was no big deal and made some witty comment and I laughed forgetting I was suppose to be on gaurd. Next thing I know, Morgan/Chase was right behind me. I went to real life mode then.
I ran to the garage and opened it. I, of course, was running and he, of course, was walking (Real Life: typical scary movie scene). I told him I already put on fb that I was hanging out with him and the cops would know. I told him I didn't say anything about him being scary. I just wanted to have it out there that he was at my house. I told him he still had time to run and there wouldn't be any trouble. He pulled a knife out and kept walking towards me (the garage door was being very slow to open). I woke up. The end.
I'm guessing seeing Eclipse last night had a lot to do with my dream. There was a preview for RED which has Morgan Freeman in it. I believe he is a spy or hit man for the government?!? I'm definitely not watching any scary movies for a while. I think only happy ones will help me sleep at night. We'll see... stay tuned!

Just a Quickie....
http://www.babycenter.com/6_your-pregnancy-14-weeks_1103.bc
If you copy the link above and post it into your address bar, you can see how big the baby is this week. I look forward to reading it every week :)
Well, on another note. I told a few more people at my work. I informed my boss last Friday before our dr appt and he was really nice about it which made me feel better. Being a new employee and pregnant isn't really what anyone wants to be but I am thrilled I got this position and I hope they realize that. Anyways today, a co-worker had his little 3 month old stop by the office and he knew I was pregnant and asked when I was due in front of a few other employees. So that's when they all find out. Well, one of the ladies had already figured it out. She said she noticed the bump last week but didn't want to say anything. So, if you haven't seen my lately, now you know I am showing. I actually plan to go maternity clothes shopping tomorrow. My pants are not comfortable at all anymore! I think I'd be more energetic and upbeat if I were more comfortable in my clothes. I think I suffered with what I had for long enough. Well, that's all for now. Stay tuned....

1st Trimester Down, 2 More To Go...
Today I will be caught up on the blog so from now on you should be getting to read the blog shortly after the event happens. So, to back track a little bit.... Chase and I went to our first doctors visit on May 19th. We went to Christine Mestemacher, who delivered Jamie's precious baby boy, and we loved her. We got to see our 8 week & 5 day old baby for the first time and hear his/her heart beat.
It was so amazing!!! He/she was kicking and scruming which was so neat to see. Everytime I've seen and ultrasound picture I've had to have someone explain what was what, but when you see it live like that you can tell everything and I was not expecting that! This made everything real to me and that's the moment it really hit me I was going to actually have a baby in Decemeber. I had no idea how emotional it was going to be. I wasn't feeling good that morning and really wasn't looking forward to getting out of bed for that visit but I ended up being very happy I did! I wish I could go to the doctor every week and get an ultra sound! It is so amazing! Oh and the ultrasound gave us a new due date... Christmas DAY!
Then Friday we went to our second visit, which was a bit of a teaser. We just got there and listened to the heart beat and that was it. Baby was doing great so they sent us on our way. I was wanting that experience we had the first time but oh well. I still love every time I get to listen to our baby's heart beating
away. The other bright side was we got out of there fast which meant we got to leave earlier than planned for the lake (Chase and I at the lake on Chase's first Fathers Day). Our next ultrasound visit is July 20th. Then two weeks after that we will go back to find out the sex!!!!!!!!!! I'm hoping July 20th though Jamie's friend who works the ultrasound will switch the 3D on so we can get a good idea of the sex then. Supposedly by 12 weeks they can tell the sex of the baby if he/she is laying the right way on a 3D so I'd assume at 17 weeks they could really get a good idea. Stay tuned :)

And so it is...
March 28th, 2010 was the day that literally changed our lives. For the first time, Chase and I were a little bit irresponsible in a certain department. I had always been under the impression that you needed to be extra careful the week before... not the week after. Well, I definitely found out it's the week after (thanks sex ed)... The funny thing is we even made jokes that night that I was pregnant. I thought we were both completely kidding, but Chase was actually thinking it was possible. The whole month of April, I had no idea and no worries. Chase on the other hand was just waiting... he just had that feeling. When I told him how I scarfed down a foot long for lunch and wasn't full, he was thinking in his head.... "oh no, she's pregnant." When I started feeling sick to my stomach, he was thinking "oh no, she's pregnant." When I was late, he was thinking "oh no, she's pregnant." But nevveerr telling me this because he knew I'd freak. Well, Sunday night (I believe exactly one month from conception) we were at Wasabi with Jay, Angie, Josh & Kristin. After dinner, I started feeling sick. When they asked why, I just made a joke saying I was probably pregnant. They all got so serious and I had to reassure them I wasn't, I was just late and it had crossed my mind. Well, I shouldn't have told them I was late because it didn't convince them I wasn't pregnant. On the way home, I was talking it over with Chase and all the sudden March 28th hit me... I looked at a calendar and realized it was possible. I wanted to get a test right then but Chase wouldn't let me. He just keep telling me I wasn't pregnant... Well when I still didn't feel good the next morning, I went and bought a test on the way to work. Angie saw me pull into Walgreens and informed Jay which meant he was texting me all day long to see what the results were. That day Hannah and I were having a lunch date at Ruby Tuesday's so I decided to wait and take it there instead of work. There was no way Jay was going to let me wait until I got home. So I went to the bathroom there, took it, and put it back in the box. After we ordered I told Hannah what was going on and she freaked. She asked what the results were and I pulled the box out. We looked and saw two lines... She was freaking and was confused why I was so calm... I was calm because I was still in shock. I sent a picture of the results to Chase and Jay who both were like "yup, you're pregnant." Well, I probably stared at the picture the rest of the day at work. When I wasn't staring at the picture, I was researching how accurate the tests are. Basically everything I read said if there are two lines, your pregnant, no doubt about it. Well, I still wasn't convinced so Chase and I made an appointment to confirm at the doctors office(see below). Well it was confirmed... December 24th! But guess who still didn't believe it... Me! I don't know why it took so long to hit me, but it did. I just didn't believe that I was actually going to be a mommy in a few months. Chase and I had planned to wait 2 or 3 years before coming parents, but God had a whole different plan for us. Now, the shock is gone and the excitement has showed up :) I couldn't be happier!! Well, that's a lie. I could be if I wasn't nausea, or tired, or if brushing my teeth didn't make me gag, or if foods that normally sounded good, still sounded good.... but other than that, all is well. *God is good... all the time!!*
